Protections and faults¶
Shutdown
Stops the set, latches, and blocks restarting until it is reset.
Warning
Advisory. It shows on the screen and clears itself when the condition goes away.
Shutdowns¶
| Fault | Trips at | Code |
|---|---|---|
LOW OIL PRESSURE |
Below 20 psi | SPN 100 FMI 1 |
HIGH COOLANT TEMP |
Above 107 °C | SPN 110 FMI 0 |
ENGINE OVERSPEED |
Above 2124 rpm (118%) | SPN 190 FMI 0 |
UNDERFREQUENCY |
Below 57 Hz for 10 s on load | SPN 190 FMI 18 |
GENERATOR OVERLOAD |
Above 110% for 10 s | OVERLOAD |
FUEL LEVEL EMPTY |
Tank empty | SPN 96 FMI 1 |
FAIL TO START |
Three failed crank attempts | OVERCRANK |
EMERGENCY STOP |
The button | SPN 970 FMI 31 |
The codes are the real J1939 SPN/FMI numbers an engine ECM would log, so they are worth showing on screen as-is.
Warnings¶
| Warning | When |
|---|---|
| Low oil pressure | Below 30 psi |
| High coolant | Above 102 °C |
| Low fuel | Below 10% |
| Low battery | Below 24 V |
| Overload | Load over 100% |
NOT IN AUTO |
Whenever the switch sits in STOP |
Resetting¶
Set Stoped = true.
The reset is refused while the condition is still present (a hot engine, an empty tank, the e-stop still pressed in) and the Output window says why. Fix the cause first.
Built-in allowances¶
Low oil pressure is ignored for the first 10 seconds
Real oil pressure takes a moment to build after the engine catches. Without that grace period, every start would trip.
Fuel exhaustion is off by default
The set ships with infinite fuel. See Configuration to turn real consumption back on.
