Channel plan¶
Channels live in Config.Zones. The shipped plan has two zones of sixteen, "Building Ops" and "Emergency", and the last channel of each is analog talkaround.
The easy way
The config generator writes the whole config file for you.
Config.Zones = {
{
Name = "Building Ops",
Channels = {
ch("Common"),
ch("Security 1", "Security One", { Access = { "Security", "Supervisor" } }), -- (1)!
ch("Talkaround", nil, { Digital = false, Range = 350 }), -- (2)!
},
},
}
- Only players with the Security or Supervisor role get this channel. The voice announcement says "Security One".
- An analog simplex channel: radio to radio within 350 studs, no repeater needed.
ch(name, announce, opts)¶
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
name |
What the display shows |
announce |

false makes it analog: gentler filters, grit, a squelch tail, and it fades into noise instead of breaking up |
opts.Admit |
"ChannelFree" (default on digital) or "Always" |
opts.Range |
Simplex range in studs, for talkaround channels |
opts.Access |
The roles programmed for this channel. See Roles |
Defaults and busy channels¶
Config.DefaultZoneandConfig.DefaultChannelset where radios start.Config.OneAtATimekeeps one talker per channel.Config.Prioritydecides who wins a busy one: higher preempts lower, and the loser is cut off with a bonk.
