Checkout racks, radio IDs, batteries¶
With a RadioDock in the place and Config.GiveRadioOnSpawn = "auto", nobody spawns with a radio. Staff sign one out of the rack.
Radio IDs and aliases¶
- Each physical radio has an ID and a battery that charges in the rack.
- The holder gets an alias from their primary role: "Security 3", "Engineer 12". Logs, consoles, captions and announcements use it.
- A checked-out radio survives respawns. A leaving player's radio returns to the rack (
ReturnOnLeave). - IDs work like reservations. With
Config.Aliases.PersistentIdson, a player keeps the same radio ID across servers and sessions, stored in the DataStore named byConfig.Aliases.IdStore.
A player's own radio ID is in Contacts (first row) or Utilities → Radio Info → My ID. Every other radio is listed in Contacts with its ID. Contacts → Manual Dial takes an ID directly.
