Coverage¶
Config.Coverage.Mode = "Auto" enforces coverage only once a repeater exists. A map with no repeaters behaves like unlimited range, and the moment you place one, the rules switch on everywhere.
Unlimited range until the first RadioRepeater is placed, then full enforcement.
Enforce repeaters and dead zones whether or not one exists yet.
Disable the whole coverage model.
The rules¶
- Digital channels need a repeater in reach to key up, and the listener needs one too.
- Talkaround channels are simplex, radio to radio, inside the channel's
Range. - Dead zones block both. Walking into one mid-transmission drops the call.
- Power Level: Low (a handset setting) halves range.
