The web portal¶
The General Studios radio portal runs the fleet from a website:
- live radio status
- a saved list of every player
- blacklist and whitelist
- the exact channels a player has
- deactivated radios
- messages or spoken alerts sent to a radio, a channel or everyone
Connect your game¶
- Sign in at the portal and add your game.
- Games โ your game โ General โ Download Template. That download is this model with
Config.Portal.Url,GameIdand a freshApiKeyalready filled in. - Turn on Allow HTTP Requests.
Until the placeholders are replaced, the link stays off and the radio works normally.
How sync works¶
Every SyncSeconds, each server reports its radios and new traffic, and gets back the players' rules and any pending commands.
- Portal rules are not saved in a DataStore. The website is the authority, and a new server picks them up on its first report.
- A deactivated radio is disabled like Radio Kill.
- A player given a channel list on the portal gets exactly those channels, whatever their roles.
- If the portal cannot be reached, the last rules stay in force and traffic is kept for the next report. Output says why, once.
