Values reference¶
Everything lives in CAT_Gen > Values. Most of these are status outputs and commands: the set writes them to report what it is doing, and writing to them yourself tells it what to do.
Values¶
| Value | Type | Reading it tells you | Writing it does |
|---|---|---|---|
Running |
Bool | Engine is at rated speed | true = start now (MANUAL) |
Starting |
Bool | Cranking or coming up to speed | โ |
Stoped |
Bool | Engine is at rest | true = stop, and reset a fault |
Auto |
Bool | AUTO is selected | true = select AUTO |
E Stop |
Bool | Emergency stop is latched in | true = trip it |
Remote Start |
Bool | โ | true = run (AUTO only) |
Load |
Number | Load the set is carrying, kW | Sets the connected load |
Fuel |
Number | Tank level, percent | Sets the level |
Fault |
String | Active shutdown, empty when healthy | โ |
Created on first run
Remote Start, Load, Fuel and Fault are created the first time the set runs, so you will not see them until you press Play once.
The three you will actually use¶
Autoto arm itRemote Startto run itRunningto know it is up
Worked example: a light that only works when the set is up¶
Read Running:
local values = workspace.CAT_Gen.Values
local light = workspace.Lobby.Light.PointLight
local function update()
light.Enabled = values.Running.Value
end
values.Running.Changed:Connect(update)
update()
For a whole building, read the ATS's Load Active instead, which also covers utility power.
Running is false while cranking and during cooldown
If you want "the set is doing something", check Starting as well, or read the State attribute.
