Marking up your map¶
ServerStorage/RadioSystem/Samples has an example of each. Drag in the ones you want.
Why the samples aren't in Workspace
They are kept out deliberately: a repeater appearing in a live map switches coverage enforcement on everywhere.
A part takes a role in any of three ways, whichever suits you:
- a CollectionService tag, e.g.
RadioRepeater - the part's name is the tag
- the part sits in a folder named after the tag
Tags¶
| Tag | What it does | Attributes |
|---|---|---|
RadioRepeater |
Extends digital coverage around itself | Range (studs) |
RadioDeadZone |
No signal inside: lift cars, basements, stairwells | โ |
RadioLocation |
A named area, reported with emergencies and radio checks. The smallest area containing the radio wins | Location (or the part's name) |
RadioDock |
Charging rack staff sign radios out of | Slots |
RadioConsole |
A dispatch console operator position | โ |
RadioPASpeaker |
An overhead paging speaker | โ |
Channel monitor¶
ChannelMonitor is a part wired straight to one channel's output: stand next to it and you hear that channel with no radio of your own. Put Zone and Channel values inside the part to choose which.
This is the simplest way to give a control room something to listen on.
